We do push the gray areas. Everybody tries to get a competitive advantage. But he made it very clear it would not be tolerated.

Chad's at home seven days a week working on these cars. It's pretty easy to unload fast when you've got a mind like that back at the fab shop working on it.

Everyone on our entire team made comments about how calm things were on the pit box. Everyone realizes now maybe that's where we've gone wrong in the past. We've been too aggressive and too uptight. The patience paid off, and if we can carry that lesson through the season, we'll be shooting for a championship.

Chad's leadership is second to none. We really miss that. But then, it's also given us a chance to expand on our roles. We get to grow within our positions, and it makes us a tighter team. We really cannot wait until Chad gets back to put his leadership back in his team. Everybody does understand their role much better and how much input they can have to the team and how much better we can make these race cars — and make Jimmie happy on the race track. You can see what Jimmie can do in the last two laps.

It was a super easy day, and we won the Daytona 500.
