We don't believe the state should have to pay for flu shots we never got. We're not going to pay, and we're not going to change our mind on that.

If the flu shots can be put to good use to help someone who needs them, that's great, but it does not change Comptroller Hynes' position that the state of Illinois and the taxpayers of Illinois are not responsible for the payment of flu shots that we never received.

We don't believe they belong to the state. We believe if someone can make use of them, who needs them, that's great, but we don't think the state should have to pay for them.

He just doesn't believe it's appropriate.

I get nervous when I don't get nervous. If I'm nervous I know I'm going to have a good show.
