We don't see any of these girls gripe when the (referee's) call doesn't go their way. This team right here? These are talented kids. And this is what happens when you have talented kids with character.

She took it right at those big girls and wasn't scared of them. She gave us the intensity that we needed at that time. She is too young to even think about doing it. She just did it.

Our girls were upset after watching Louisville during pre-game. I didn't have to say much to them after that, I knew we were going to ready. They couldn't wait to get out onto the court. I don't think Louisville came in here expecting us to play that well.

The girls are very excited. They don't take anything for granted. They're working hard because they know their job isn't done yet. They have a goal in mind and they want to reach that goal. It's very exciting to see their accomplishments.

It was an eye-opener for them. The length of the course was very tough. None of the girls hit for distance yet. There was also hills and water.

Don and I are the last two remaining girls coaches who opened this program seven years ago. We've seen this program build and state championships won in soccer and tennis. We said, 'Wouldn't it be great to happen for us, as well.' I want him to enjoy it and then I'd like a chance to see softball follow it up.
