We don't want closed shops. These are open studios where the public is invited in to see how the art gets made. That's the ethos of the whole (NTC Promenade) project.

This is the place where dance is going to come alive in San Diego. We'll have the synergy of the different companies working side by side and being sparked creatively by what the others are doing.

When I'm on vacation, I go to art shops. I look at other sculptures, magazines and books. It's all about imagination.
