We ended the season with 18 girls on three teams that gave it their all and wanted to play.

We're already getting ready for next year with lifting and postseason conditioning. By going 0-21, they saw what the level of competition has become.

We got a lot of open looks, but we didn't handle their pressure very well. We tried hard, but we were just outmatched.

Now I think they have the basis for what we're trying to do and the systems we're trying to put in. They understand my expectations now, we just have to learn how to win.

We've had just about everyone but three girls fighting some injury sometime this season. We've had a lot of people step up in games for us this year, though.

It gave the (American) girls the opportunity to appreciate the game they play here in the U.S.. The U.S. is the world leader in softball, and when you dominate the game as well as the U.S., people look at you and how you do it.
