We got into a little bit of foul trouble (in the second half) but we were able to get through it. The girls played pretty darn good. Any road win this year will be a good win.

There's no words to describe it, she just played wonderful.

That probably was the best defensive game I've ever seen in girls' basketball. Everywhere Evans went, she went. She (Downey) frustrated her all night long.

You can definitely tell we have a lot more experience. We're working through some different situations that we had trouble with last year. And we're trying to get better maturity wise. When things flustered our team last year, the guys started to fall apart. This year, that's not happening.

Like all writing rules, the injunction to start with the trouble can be broken, and it should be sometimes - if there's good reason.

Maybe the 'Million Little Pieces' of the world are so popular because no one ever writes memoirs about PTA chairwomen; what memoirists do, and often get in trouble for, is bring interesting lives to light.
