We had 83 entrants and we weren't sure how we were going to give the awards. Then we decided to do first, second and third place for each month and the rest were honorable mentions.

We loved listening to stories about the pets and what they are like and the things they do. One dog took care of his brother who had cancer by taking the food plate to him.

After the awards, I didn't win, my father called me up and told me that the man from Johnstown had put all kinds of signs in the theatre saying, 'This year's Academy Award winner... ' because my father had said I was going to win. And I didn't. But this guy asked if it would be alright if he took the Oscar and put it in the lobby and put a sign saying, 'This is what it would look like if he had won'.

Without those awards, you're not going to get those people going to authorities. There aren't very many ways to fight fraud, and this turns out to be a very good one.

It shows the best student work on offer in Wales, offers workshops and talks to Welsh students and also awards them for their efforts.

Ideally our goal is to increase the number of scholarships offered while also increasing the dollar amount of the awards.
