We had a great game plan. The defensive line had great pressure, and we were able to take advantage of it. I think toward the end of the game Ty got frustrated and made some bad throws he wouldn't normally make. We were in the right place at the right time.

If we lose, you're going to see me sleeping in front of my locker. When you're No. 1, everybody wants to knock you off. It's not just the Notre Dame guys.

I think if it is Garcia, having practiced against him every day would help a lot, but I wouldn't go into the game expecting seven turnovers just because you know the guy. It works both ways. We know him, but he knows us from practicing against us. We both do film study. It will come down to who is more prepared and who executes better.

Part of it was we knew Ty pretty well, but part of it was it was we had an exceptional game,

Maybe some teams would have given up, but they fought and were able to get back in the game. It's really a lesson both ways. If you're down, you know there's always a chance until the clock reads triple zeros. If you're ahead, don't let up.

I think it's a perfect example of us packing it in too early and thinking we had the game won,
