We had already selected the athletes who were going to go, and we didn't want to disappoint them. This is a great opportunity, so we're hoping they don't have to miss it.

They're a good team. They get athletes from all over the place . . . so what the hell.

We're not going to pick and choose. Either they all go or no one goes.

When the hurricanes came, we lost a lot of our funding. A lot of the people and businesses who have normally donated to us have lost everything and are struggling, so they're not able to donate the way they used to.

When I look at all these professional athletes when they are 50 or 45 years old, they have knees that don't work at all, shoulders that don't work, back problems, and I think that that's a much more common occurrence than a guy who is 40 or 50 who has serious problems because of some steroid he was taking when he was 20.

Try not to laugh when someone says these are the world's greatest athletes, despite a paucity of blacks that makes the games look like a GOP convention.
