We had Tristan (Smith), solid but not great; we had Bush, solid but not great; we had Carl (Davis), solid but not great.

Not really, ... There is no Carl. I made him up.

Our defense was solid and Smith pitched a good game.

Last week, they played about the same number of snaps. The plays aren't called based on who is in there in tailback. They're called based on a situation. When Matt was in there, he got a few more carries. They understand it, and they know their roles.

Personally I think there's only one school that can't lose -- Oklahoma. I think anybody else can get beat. Just to win is hard. I mean, Virginia Tech goes to Temple and sneaks out on a missed extra point. How can FSU go to Clemson and lose like they did? Every week, you've got those upsets. I think it speaks volumes for what TCU has done.

I think there's more of a sense of urgency. We saw it in practice on Tuesday.
