We hate that this caused any alarm to parents, students and the community. This was not an emergency crisis situation. It was simply a drill.

This has been completely a team effort from the entire staff, students and parents. We've wanted to make this a positive and fun week for everyone.

Students and community members alike are realizing that the college is here for them and that they can save a significant amount in terms of higher education. With people embracing their local community college, our numbers will continue to grow.

They will overlap for the remainder of April. That will give them an opportunity to work together.

Even when they say October, that still doesn't mean for sure. Pitt County Schools didn't have anything to do with it, because the curriculum is statewide.

Chad is very eager to see the international community, in particular the African Union, settle this crisis.
