We have been told by police that around 70 people have been arrested. We have not yet had access to them in detention but we are seeking it.

In my opinion, given the circumstances in which police officers are dealing with the public . . . it's absolutely outstanding they do their job in a manner where there are so few complaints.

The community has been very much behind the Metropolitan Police after the events of July 7 and 21, and I think this is a very good example of that,
