We have good overall team speed. And a willingness to improve and get better.

Edison's overall team speed is fantastic, ... It's harder to go outside on them and then even when the tailback is six yards deep when your running downhill on them, they got a chance to converge and make plays. We came and ran the ball hard, but I give Edison's defense a lot of credit because they're a very physical, fast football team.

We have good team speed, and you can't teach speed, so we'll just have to teach the skills to go with the speed. The first thing to do is to get the kids to believe in themselves. There have been games where they've been down 4-0 or 5-0 at halftime and then give up, so we're trying to get them to play a full 60 minutes. They've had great attitudes so far, so hopefully we'll steal a game here and there. We'll do the best we can.

Overall, it went extremely well and according to plan - about as good as we could have hoped.

I've had bigger teams, but as far as overall team quickness, this is just as good as any we've had.

Overall, it was a good meet. We're very optimistic. We have a much better team than last year. A top-three finish at the conference meet is the goal.
