We have had a very severe frost and deep snow this month. My thermometer was one day fourteen degrees and a half below the freezing point, within doors.

What we don't want to happen is have the trees leaf out while we still have frost or below-freezing conditions.

You can see snow-covered Alps on a clear day in July. We don't go over in winter. We spend May, June, September and October there.

I seemed to vow to myself that some day I would go to the region of ice and snow and go on and on till I came to one of the poles of the earth, the end of the axis upon which this great round ball turns.

We had a really warm winter, and then we get snow the first day of spring.

It's awesome, a great day. We have 2 feet of new snow from yesterday, and it's a sunny day. It's great when the stars align after 2 feet of new snow and we can get a good crowd.
