We have nothing to do with it. I've never heard one bad thing said about her from the shop steward in Lincoln County or any other member. It's really between the board of directors out there and her.

This distinction gives the entire Marist community great satisfaction. In particular, I salute our faculty for providing our students with learning experiences in and out of the classroom that give them an advantage in what is an increasingly- competitive global marketplace.

The harmonization of it all is difficult. All this plethora of compliance makes it hard to set a level to it and match the standards and regulations and meet their requirements.

My first year as president I went around and asked what Marist had to work on. He said, 'He who whispers down a well about the things he has to sell will never have as many dollars as he who climbs a tree and hollers.' I never forgot that.

It's all about team. Right now, we're trying to work together and move the ball quick.
