We have photos of him when he was just barely able to walk putting the basketball through a Nerf hoop stuck on the TV.

All of our vacations centered around some kind of basketball trip.

He is today's Ray Mears, but probably a better basketball strategist. He knows how to have fun. The thing he did with Dane Bradshaw just loosens the team up and it's great theater. Buzz was a great guy, but he didn't have the charisma this cat has.

Getting John was an all-around blessing. His basketball I.Q. is through the roof and he's humble about it. Your hands better be up any time John has the ball. He won't look at you the entire possession and still he drops it right in your hands.

It is getting to that point in the year where you have to start playing your best basketball. Not that we have been messing around, but it's time to get serious. We are nine days to the end of the regular season and it is time to put up or shut up and I am challenging these guys to put it up.

It was phenomenal. We were on an isolated part of the island. Nothing to do. Just basketball. It was probably the best thing that could have happened.
