The majority of fans, quite rightly, are only interested in the team being successful and challenging for honors.

I think our fans were anxious to have hockey back, and they're going to be in a good mood. It's a long, cold winter in Boston without hockey and the Bruins. I know for us, as players, it's real good to be back and to be doing what we love to do. Hopefully, we can make it up to our fans by having a great season and giving them what they want (a Stanley Cup).

It's frustrating. There was a buzz in the arena, and we were excited to play this one. The fans deserve a lot more than that.

It's sensible for the players not to speak to the media.
