We have some indication that a lot of the students were aware of this prior to the bomb being brought to school.

We want to make a window for the students who are still interested to complete their applications or to finish the process.

Coming out of a facility can be difficult because the students are used to structure, and then upon their release, they are just expected to jump right back in the community.

Don't try to fix the students, fix ourselves first. The good teacher makes the poor student good and the good student superior. When our students fail, we, as teachers, too, have failed.

Often I think we can accomplish things in the summertime that can't be in the three other academic quarters. Students have more time in the summer, when there are fewer major requirements being taught. We could have intensive courses in critical languages at that point where students who wanted, in the course of a single quarter, to get the first or second year of a language accomplished, they would have to be willing to study, but the incentive to do so would be there.
