We just never really got going. They're a great group of kids. They just didn't have the same fire and focus.

He's been on fire. We've been facing good pitching and the kids have been competing. That's all I ask for. We've been swinging the bat well. It was nice to see us get some two-out hits.

I've been so pleased with the improvement of these girls. We can compete with the elite teams. They worked their tails off. These girls have come a long, long way this season. It's a testament to their character.
