We knew it was time for change. We had personnel on there that had been gone for four years.

The success is making sure we have the right tool and secondly that it's being used correctly.

You are never going to seize every gun but if we can target these people that are more likely to have guns and use them, we can have an impact in public safety.

These are people many of whom are career criminals based on prior and current activity.

Obviously the guns are out there but it's a matter of finding them and getting the right people on the team.

As much as we sometimes go after repeat offenders it's a constant battle with people like this who go to jail and then come right back and commit crimes again. It's always a good thing to take people like Valle off the street.
