We know St. Augustine is a really great program. We had some nice individual swims from the kids, and we hope that's a good indication of how we can do next year. We were a little outgunned today but we still wanted to work hard and try to do our best.

We just didn't show up for last week's game against Joshua Springs. I told our kids that they (Excelsior) would come out and hit you hard because they have some good players, and you'll have to execute our game plan better than you did last week. The other teams are looking for that opportunity to beat us and have that second-place playoff spot, and we really need to step it up.

When I see 200 kids from all over Volusia County occupying all 24 courts at the Florida Tennis Center on Friday nights, I get excited about the future of this sport.

It (winning the conference) is one of the goals that we set at the beginning of the year, and to reach it is a good first step. Now we get to focus on progressing in the postseason.

I just wanted to follow successful programs and I always want our kids to play the very best competition. I want them to take pride in who they play.

He makes a lot of kids better because he does so much out there. He is like another coach out there on the court.
