I believe there was a fear that damage would be done to the fire district if that were to happen, ... When you have a disruption in the continuity of the district like that, it's not good for the district and I think that's what they were thinking when they held the meeting to approve the contracts.

When you begin to lose the fire a little bit and if you're not giving 100 percent out there, then it's time for you to leave because you'll end up getting hurt, ... I want to be able to walk away on top.

We had a lot of chances with our top guys with the puck on their stick in the slot, and we missed the net. It wasn't meant to be, apparently. It wasn't for lack of heart. We worked hard. It just didn't go in for us tonight.
