We made too many mistakes defensively. We'll go back at it, regroup. They showed some life, so we'll keep plugging away.

We will hit, it's just a matter of settling down. First-game jitters, it's okay. That's what it is with kids. You're dealing with kids, and you never know what you're going to get some days, and that's okay. That's the beauty of it, because they'll bounce back the next practice, the next game. They'll be okay. They're good kids. They played hard, they went right to the end. That's alright.

The kids had a good practice on Tuesday, they let it all out. They're resilient. It was very important for them to do that. It's just a matter of getting kids to pitch and throw strikes, we'll be okay.

Several times we weren't mentally tough enough. We had careless mistakes, holding and blocking in the back, and that backed us up the whole second half.

People get mad with 8-week-old puppies for making mistakes because they don't realize this.
