We met and talked about playing smarter. Some of the guys had struggled with what club to hit and how to play certain holes and we went over all that.

It was a shady hit, ... I don't think guys should be playing that way.

From the starting kickoff we controlled the tempo of the game, playing hard for all four quarters. The offense was on fire, controlling the clock and ball, rolling up 316 total yards and the defense overpowering (Truckee).

We were playing sloppy. We had guys trying to lay on the big hit instead of just wrapping up. We were hitting a little high. Probably I have and probably we all have been guilty of wanting the big hit, but we can't always get it. That game was kind of a quicksand feeling. You start going down, down, down and you can't stop.

I can't imagine playing for any other club,
