We need to help get them stable. Mentally, they have been through a lot, a lot of stuff. We've got to keep giving them hope so they can go on, so they can refocus.

Any extra help they need can and should be provided by those other sources.

The earlier you ask, the earlier you can enlist them for their help.

We were lagging behind. We saw that there wasn't even accessible data to teachers that would help them raise test scores in the district. We needed to upgrade the technology.

We can recommend specialized wheelchairs, computer adaptations and technological devices to help them live at home more comfortably or return to work or school. We can help our clients and their families find community resources such as personal aids, transportation, wheelchair accessible restaurants and recreational activities. Learning what's available and how to access it is a whole new experience for families.

To do it is rewarding. It's an uplifting class, and it's nice to help people who aren't feeling well.
