We played bad for three quarters, but the girls hung in there, played hard and played well. It was a good game.

The girls are excited. They came to me last March and sat down and said that they were willing to do whatever they had to do to get better, and they worked at it.

It was a very good game. We had problem scoring in the second and third quarters. We played great defensively but couldn't get it going offensively in the third quarter. We held them to 45 points and that's a plus in itself.

We were a little behind in the first couple of innings. So I told the girls to be more aggressive. You're not going to get two buckets of balls (to hit) in a game, you're going to get three strikes and you're out. After the first two innings, we came on and got better.

They were a hot-shooting team over there, and we responded well. We scrambled back into the game. The girls worked hard.

The girls want to be competitive and I let them set what they want to do. But if you asked them, they?d all say Final Four again.
