We played even with a great team in the second and third periods. But Omaha is a team that plays with a great desire to win for a full 60 minutes. We didn't do that.

We played awful hockey in the second and third periods. We were fortunate it was only 3-1.

The third period was obviously everything we had. The first and second were the worst periods we played all year long.

It's probably the best second half of the year that we have played. Since it is only the third game with the lineup as we have it, that was a big step forward. We basically started over at Christmas. I think as soon as we get over that hump and get a little experience playing together and a rotation pattern set, the wins will come a lot easier for us and we will have a really strong finish to the season.

We're a young team, but I thought we settled down in the second and third innings and played better defense. I liked the defense overall.

O.J. was a second-team all-league receiver at Galileo. And DiMaggio played in the sandlots certainly more than in high school.
