We purchased land, had it developed, and it was ready to go for a company that would be coming in the area.

The notoriety of that type of company and the spin-off potential of the businesses that follow them is a great thing.

The company is not really interested in selling that land to the state, or anybody else. Our preference has always been, we would look favorably upon some sort of a trade for land elsewhere that might be more consistent with our business.

This could be a real boon to Quincy and to Grant County. It's bringing renewed optimism to the people of the town, especially the business owners. We're interested to see where it takes us.

We are excited. I never had any doubts, but in the real estate world, things can always go haywire.

The immediate benefit is as construction starts, that will bring a tremendous number of construction workers to town, which will help local industries. It has created a need for housing, and with that, has brought numerous developers from out of the area looking to buy land and fulfill the need for housing.
