We realized the community needed to be educated on what a credit union is and what the benefits of membership are. We are now doing that with increased participation in community events and a branding campaign.

I think people are finally seeing the credit union as a full-service financial institution with more than just savings and checking accounts. In fact, our real estate and consumer loan departments both set growth records in 2005 that we hope to surpass this year.

It's good for all of the community, ... Anytime the community can come together, everyone benefits.

We didn't want the city to have a problem. P.E.O. wanted to give something to the community, and were careful they didn't leave the city with a liability.
