We really want to teach kids about giving back to the community. It's about giving back and it's about serving.

To keep Sioux Falls the giving community it is, we need to start with the kids. They truly, truly know how to give from their hearts.

To me, it's peer recognition, community recognition, simple as that. We've got kids here putting in hours year-round, giving up things because they want to pursue a much higher level, and they see their peers getting all the attention.

There's a little bit of something for everybody.

Last year went over so well. It's created a pretty big buzz for this year.

This is a communiversity fall festival, our fifth year. We do this as part of giving back to the community. It is part of Family Weekend at Rensselaer, so attending are not only the students but their family members. We've got more than 1,500 family members here today.
