We should work together to improve the quality of life in Lawrence County.

I'm surprised by (the opposition). I'm disappointed. We've been talking about this for several years.

It's a great day. They put in trout about 10 to 13 inches. We're inviting people with special needs, and it's really neat. It puts us all on an equal playing field out there. We serve a lot of people. It's not something that any one of us could do alone. It takes a partnership. I hope to see the third-of-a-mile boardwalk lined with people fishing. Hopefully, more and better things will happen from it.

These are all things we have to work on to continue to maintain and improve our quality of life. Quality of life is our number one issue and we have to constantly work on maintaining and improving it.

I think I've gleaned that the most we need to work on is the quality of life, projects that make it better to live here. From health care to recreation to the retail section to elderly care. We've kind of quit chasing new companies. We're fully employed. We've taken care of so much, so fast, that what's left is real hard.

We're going to work; we're going to work hard. It's going to be quality work.
