We still have this larger issue of the funding dilemma.

The impacts of this past winter have been cumulative.

In February, we'll be back to council with alternate options because funding is an issue. We'll need to determine what needs to be done with the nature center, which will begin in April, and then we will catch up to the other site improvements.

The problem with the whole issue is that both sides need to be accommodated. There does need to be better border security for national security purposes, but in my view you cannot have better border security until you deal with the problem of finding a way for people to immigrate legally. People are not crossing the border risking life and limb to do so because they're too lazy to go down to the visa office and apply legally.

We have handfuls of larger employers, but it is the small employer that is most prevalent in our area, as well as most areas.

They end up competing with some of the other arts groups, certainly with funding, that's a big issue, and programming. Many of the arts groups didn't feel there was any representation there. They don't function as an arts council. They are their own separate organization.
