We take and take and take from these kids - and what are they going to do? The bottom line is, you've got a bunch of kids with nothing to do - and things escalate. .... You have to listen to kids. We stop doing that as adults.

We've got to take baby steps until we can walk. We've got to ... bring these kids home because this has to stop. This violence has to stop.

This is not just for me, it's for kids not born yet.

By working closely with these kids it makes you think as a teacher about things you can do to improve in those areas with all your kids.

It's hard to maintain in high school unless you have your own feeder system. We have a lot of kids going to Academic Magnet or who choose to go to Bishop England. The next few years, we could do well, but the key is to keep getting the kids in.
