We talked about going to the net and playing tough, playing hard and never giving up. I think [Graves] sees that as the way I could be successful; rather than trying to use my hands to get around a guy, just use my size. That's to my advantage.

One thing New Yorkers do embrace is the sight of young players giving everything they have. That's what we're here to do.

I heard [coach Jim Schoenfeld] say shoot it, so I just did it. It feels good to get on the score sheet and feel like I was contributing.
