These kids went 18-0 as eighth-graders at Merritt Middle School when I came back to Indianola. That told me we would have some talent down the road. They work together as a unit. That's the key to this team — and I think they can go a long way.

It's a big weekend for us. It's not time to panic, but definitely we're starting to put our backs against the wall. We've got to come out of the weekend at least 1-1, I think. Not only just because of where our standings are in the conference, but for some confidence.

I was told not to go to Madison Square Garden anymore and many of these things are unheard of if you're in wrestling. They blackballed me out of the company.

We didn't panic. I called time and told the kids we didn't need threes. We just needed solid defense.
