It's better and easier on the transmitter to be on the air 24 hours a day rather than shutting it down at sign off time and then turning the thing on again in the morning at 6 am, its much easier this way.

They're very active, very social, very smart kids -- they're firecrackers.

Some of the now older kids remember performing at the Convention Center in New Orleans, when they were the youngest ones on the trip. They've seen the recent television pictures of the refugees holed up at the Center, and the Aquarium (which they visited) that was destroyed by the hurricane. It's brought it all home for them and they've talked about it at some of our rehearsals.

Just because some punk kids talk crap to security guards and old ladies and happen to have skateboards in their hands doesn't mean we're all that way. I've met mean security guards and mean old ladies. Anyone can be mean.

Generally, the kids who try it love it, because it's so much fun.
