We try and encourage people to be prepared and prepare the community.

That needs to happen before an event.

We wouldn't exist without the very hard work of volunteers.

It is essential to have training so that they are not ... overridden by the international community and can keep their sovereignty.

I am amazed about the caring and the giving from the community. We're not getting $5 and $10 checks but $50, $100, $250. They are just opening up their wallets and that keeps the shelters open and provides food....It's wonderful to see the caring from individuals to help others they don't even know.

I did it for the betterment of the children in the community. Camp is something constructive, fun and safe for kids to do. And, of course, it's affordable. A lot of the kids, because of income, are constricted. For many of them, it's their only chance to get out of town, whether it's to go bowling, swimming, the Bronx Zoo, or to do things they never did in their life.
