We try to refer to them constantly. They were fantastic athletes and leaders and they left a trail of how to run in practice and how things should be done.

They were athletes, and they were leaders and competitors. That's the parallel, ... The other parallel is that none of them could throw, so it made it easy for us to know they weren't quarterbacks. They helped us in the evaluation process.

Abby is somebody who has learned how to run in the middle part of the race. We have focused a lot on that. Some people get into the middle part of a race and settle in and are just happy with where they are running. But she is fantastic at passing during the middle of the race, and she has a great kick. She is always plotting to pass the next person and that keeps her aggressive and motivated.

Tim ran by himself most of the way and it's really hard to do that. Tim is solidified as the team's No. 1 runner.

That was quite an inning with four doubles in a row. We're just blessed with some good athletes that like to swing the bat.

Some years are smaller and some are larger. I don't have an explanation for that. They're like athletes - some classes are just a little sharper than others.
