We want them to get an offer to the table that they can live with. We want a deal that is more than just a nickel and a dime an hour. We want a deal that recognizes that they went without a wage increase for three years.

The message is this could end right now. Nobody benefits if this goes on, not the riders, not the workers.

I think the fact that it was unanimous speaks to the fact that it was an easy decision (to reject the offer).

The important thing is that what happened today is what we've been saying all along, and that is, it's better to be at the bargaining table than on the picket line.

It was a better deal than last time, maybe the best deal the workers shall get.

Some members are still unhappy about the offer. They remember very clearly that they have had no raises for the last three years. Other workers say it's a lot better than what we started out with and we're going to take it.
