We want to change one kids' life at a time. That's the simplest way of stating our mission.

A lot of kids in snowboarding are sort of just out for a good time, but he's worked very, very hard to get where he is. We have a good racing program here, there's always been a good race influence here at Sugar Bowl.

The match-ups were not in our favor. It seemed their best kids were on our best kids.

Any time you ask kids to make wholesale change, it takes [a] while to get comfortable, so I knew we'd struggle early. But I knew we had enough ability to hopefully do some good things in the end. How long that will hold out, who knows.

Our kids just really wrestled well all day long. We had a few letdowns, but for the most part our kids wrestled hard.

It may dampen the opportunity for some kids.
