We wanted to finish higher than last year, that was our team goal, and we did that. We took second in the 200 and swam our best time of the year in that event. I'd say we did well.

I think it helps us because we're always fighting to be the best. We don't have that one guy that's just light-years ahead of everyone while the rest of us are straggling behind.

The disappointment didn't last very long. We swam well. And once I saw my split time, I knew I couldn't have done any better.

What I really hope is that people of faith in this country can come together in this election to ensure we elect a president who's going to do what's required to protect this basic principle of our country.
