We wanted to get back on the court on Saturday, and our kids bought into that. They were excited to play. We didn't pout about Friday; we were ready to play Saturday.

Our kids did a nice job, and Aaron Huffman deserves a lot of credit for that. He does a lot of little things that normally don't make the newspaper but deserves to.

I think our kids are finally understanding exactly what the coaching staff needs them to do to win, whether it's defensively or offensively.

It seemed like every time we made a run, well, they're a senior-dominated team and they responded.

We like where we landed on the bracket. Now we just have to go out and make the most of that opportunity.

We had two freshmen, two sophomores and a junior on the floor at times tonight. At no point until the end did we have a senior on the floor. But our inexperience is still showing. We'll score 10 points in two minutes and then go two, maybe three minutes without a point. But we certainly like the direction we're heading in.
