We wanted to get more kids involved in the sport. We want to get the kids more active. Some of them don't know where to start in wrestling and where to go.

We will teach wrestling in general, not just Olympic wrestling. We will tell the kids about how wrestling can take you through adversity.

We want to create top-quality programs for all kids. Now, of course, as a diversity liaison, I'm going to actively recruit minority students because that's where the achievement gap lies.

It just comes down to fundamentals of the game. Our kids have been doing a great job all year long.

I don't think (the police and district officials) understand what is at stake for these kids and their families. Immigration is a concern talked about regularly over dinner and around the television set.

I know black kids who don't even know any other black kids except their cousins. And that's enough. You wouldn't look at these kids and say that they are Uncle Toms or self-hating or fleeing or trying to be white, given the culture in which they live, which is very natural to them as kids.
