We were able to significantly decrease the number of at-risk women from being reported to child protective services or from giving birth prematurely through the program.

Our programs are designed to benefit women of all ages and backgrounds. We added new support groups to better accommodate our members, including men.

We felt that there was a tremendous need to form a group for new mothers experiencing depression. Maternity stays are so short that doctor's often don't see depression symptoms in the hospital. Many times, women are diagnosed after they leave.

The hotel developer, at his own risk, has (already) processed building plans, so once it's approved, he can go ahead and start construction. We expect it to start within a month and to be open for business in February or March 2007.

Unmarried couples are at risk for potentially serious problems because their various financial accounts, loans, or their place of residence are often held in their individual names prior to marriage and can leave one or both partners in a legally vulnerable position in the event of unplanned events or crisis.
