We were horrible. It was downright awful. I don't know how good we are, but we're a whole lot better than we were last year.

Let me tell you something. That first game, they're going to be like a deer (in headlights), no matter what you do or how you calm them down. I remember the same way myself when I played. You can talk about it all you want to, but when you run out of that gate and that crowd starts yelling, it ain't high school any more, It's a whole different deal.

These things happen, but you can see them coming before they occur. You can avoid these situations or diffuse them as quickly as possible. That's what did not happen and why the incident took place.

They've got so many players in the state of Georgia that Georgia and Georgia Tech can't sign them all. They might as well let us have some.
