We were looking to be able to have enough storage to hold more than 150 courses, and we didn't have the revenue [through the bond issues] to make that kind of purchase.

Connectivity at the home opens the door for a new paradigm in education. We'll be able to link homes and schools like never before through interactive multimedia tools. There are a plethora of applications that make schools more flexible in the present performance of its duties.

This network is probably one of the more advanced networks in the state, including businesses and colleges. Other schools have this potential, and that's the real beauty of E-Rate.

I was concerned he might go pro. He certainly had offers. But he was committed to being here. I told him I would not coach him if he was not committed to training and committed to an education. And he is. And I have not seen anyone successful who was not committed and successful in the classroom, too.

He's got at least another gear. There is a lot more to him. He is as good as any sprinter who has been here. And there have been some very good ones here.

That was probably the best opening day we've had in a long while. I think this team has a chance to be the best team we've had here in a while.
