We were really happy. Overall we saw a lot of improvement. Everybody really fought. Our opponents really had to wrestle to get past our guys.

For Eric, it began long before he got here - he started off over at E.V. Cain. Throughout high school he's set his goals pretty realistically. Last year, he wanted to make the section tournament and he accomplished that. This year, he set his goal to go to state and we feel he can do that as well. He's got a real good chance.

People talk about his improvement, but he was good when he got there. He has a high basketball I.Q. I don't think there's a better guy in the country that finishes around the hoop. He's extremely valuable to (Utah State's) offense.
