We were talking before the game that today would be a good day to hit (a home run). The wind was going the right direction.

I was just working hard and trying to get runs across throughout the game.

I've just kind of gotten a little more confidence with each at bat, and the coaches are working with me; it feels great to get some big hits.

Today sucks. My best friend is going to leave me for a year and a half. Every day is going to be minute by minute. I have a family to support me and we'll try our best to support him while he's gone.

We were talking about it today. If you put that No. 93 on him and look at him from behind, he looks like Will Smith. A lot of things he does on the field, he has a lot of characteristics Will had. His stance, his burst off the ball look like Will's. Once he really learns the game on this level, he's going to be a great player.
