We work to help the local veteran families. At Thanksgiving we gave out baskets filled with food and gifts for kids. We try and match what each family needs.

There is always a need for more money so we can help people. The money raised goes into a general fund. We also receive money from the VFW, the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, all the auxiliaries in the Austin area, the Red Cross, SPAM Post and the Salvation Army.

I awoke this morning with devout thanksgiving for my friends, the old and new. Shall i not call God The beautiful, who daily showth himself so to me in his gifts.

After a good dinner one can forgive anybody, even one's own relations.

People handed over $20 bills and no one batted an eye. One guy brought in two cans of soup because that is what we charged at the last Plan B performance. I told him this was a different cause and he said to keep the soup and then paid his monetary donation. People are very giving in the Austin area.

This is a war against the groups that work to help the needy, those who need food, the orphans.
