We worked real hard to get these kids into college. They worked really hard in the off-season.

That's a major goal. We want to put as many kids in college as possible.

As a program, we're just so proud of these kids. They bought into the new system under a new coach and both were a real inspiration. They were the first one on the field and the last ones off.

They've bought homes, they're raising families, they have kids in college and they're pretty well stable within the state. Then all of the sudden - even though they know they have a commitment - they're yanked up and sent someplace. That's kind of tough.

For a lot of these guys, that light doesn't go on until they leave college. For some kids' cases, it's too late. For other kids' cases, it happens in the nick of time. As a coach, you have to able to adapt, trust these guys even though sometimes they don't trust you. I know it sounds crazy having said that, but I love my job.

The boomers' kids have gone off to college, and they are looking for somebody to fill the void in the house, ... It's also the young professionals who are putting off having families, and are looking for companionship.
